Renowned for her extensive experience in the healthcare industry, Renee Aird Dengler provides senior-level consulting for Morrisey. Before she joined Morrisey Consulting Services, Renee was director of medical and professional affairs for Advocate Health Care. In this capacity, she had systemwide responsibility for the Center for Practitioner Information and credentialing policy, including management of the Advocate Health Care CVO, which performs primary source verification for all practitioners. She also chaired the health system’s Credentialing Council and provided consulting for credentialing, privileging and medical staff affairs.
In previous positions, Renee was responsible for medical staff office management, risk management, quality management, continuing medical education, graduate medical education and utilization review. She has held numerous management positions at community and teaching hospitals in the Chicago, Illinois area. In addition, Renee served in many roles with The Joint Commission, including developing the organization’s first program for medical staff professionals and co-writing its Medical Staff Handbook.
Renee was also active with NAMSS, including serving as a board member and a faculty member of the NAMSS Education Institute. She co-wrote the first NAMSS Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) development course, for which she provides ongoing expertise.
Renee is also an NCQA surveyor and a registered nurse. She has a master’s degree in management and a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science.
